It can be fun or tedious creating ads to convert potential prospects into clients, as thats the aim, but it's easy to find yourself just making some wack ad that doesn't include this simply step "what's in it for me"


Lets be honest here no one goes onto social media excited to see an ad, thats why you need to stand out in the first second otherwise your simply noise among everything else.


So its important to tell them how your service or product will benefit them because at first glance they don't care about your brand name or what you offer its what your offering will do for them.


Here are some examples to instantly connect to "what's in it for me".


Save me some time

Everyone especially busienss owners want to save as much time as possible to do other things possibly more important work or spend time with family & friends.

Example: "Turn 4 hours of organising metting and appointments into 2 minutes flat with this powerful AI tool"


Make me money

Everyone loves the idea of making more money especially if its easy. So use this if thats what your offering like this example:

"In the past 6 months I've over 1000 people earn 5K+ each month using this simple IA video creation technique, want the key"


Protect me from pain

People feel embrass and ashmased by certain things and FOMO which will feeds into the pain that they would rather not feel. So take advantage and use their emotions. Example:

“Your reels are dying at 9pm. Mine explode at 2am. Want the posting schedule that rescued 43 accounts this month?”

→ Type “2AM” below.


Actionable Steps

What I want you to do and be brutally honest is review your last 5 ads and identify the "whats in it for me" feature and ask yourself "if I was a prospect would this seem appealing to me" If yes then awesome and if no then you got some reworking to do for the next one.


Conclusion

As you can see from the examples above they all feed into the idea of what's in it for the customer as majority of the time thats what sticks out and makes them stick around for longer because if it doesn't serve them then why use it. So the next time you are creating an ad first thing to keep in mind is "what in it for me".
